Are you visiting Barbados on a cruise?
If you have one day to explore the island of Barbados we have a few key ideas for you! Reach out with any questions you may have, travel@princeadventures.com
Book a shore excursion with the cruise line for something that piques your interest - these are safe and reliable and easy to do, perhaps you even have onboard credit you can use.
Get a day pass at a beach club on Carlisle Bay. Some popular options include The Boatyard - for families with children as there is a rope swing and some inflatable water activities. Harbour Lights for adults and families is also a good choice. Both offer short snorkelling to see the ship wreck tours as an optional add on, which is something unique to see in Barbados!
Visit Harrison’s Cave. A fascinating underground geological formation with a tram that takes you all the way down so you can view the stalactites and stalagmites. There is lots to do at the Cave’s park, including zip lining, rum tasting, an enjoyable lunch, nature walk and more.
Hire a private taxi and ask them to take you on a scenic drive up the West Coast of Barbados to a luxury beach bar, one recommendation we have is Sea Shed - delicious craft cocktails and sensational food. One of our favourite restaurants on the island! Ask him to pass by Rihanna Drive, so you can see the childhood home of Rihanna, a National Hero of Barbados.
As always we are your Barbados experts. Having visited for more than a year of our lives and toured 80+ hotels and resorts on the island! We’ve done virtually every kind of activity on the island from e-biking to catamaran tours, to hikes - we love the island and spend most of our winter exploring Barbados when we’re not working remotely managing our travel agency.
